Brooksby Village, Employee Engagement and National Dance Day

This item just arrived in my email, and made my day.   Brooksby Village is an Erickson Living community in Peabody, Massachusetts.  My dad lives there on their dementia unit as he has Alzheimers Disease.  I’ve been extremely impressed with the employees at Brooksby for years.  I think the video below says it all about the collaboration, good humor and compassion these folks bring to their jobs.  I don’t know what they do to attract and retain the staff they have, but in 4 years, I’ve never experienced anything but kindness, professionalism, and great team spirit from these folks.  Read the email below from the administrator where my Dad lives and watch the video if you want to see a glimpse of employee engagement in action.

“This week residents and staff at Brooksby Village got together to create a dance video for National Dance Day.  This was for the TV show, “So You Think You Can Dance” which airs on Fox.  All participates had about a week to learn the choreography and then filmed their performance together on Tuesday of this week.  A tape of the performance has been sent into the TV show and we are all hoping they will choose to air on the 7/30 show beginning at 8pm.  Hope to see Brooksby on primetime TV!  ”
